CASE STUDY:

I was brought on to help redesign the RothCoast Properties website to encourage more web-traffic, reconstruct listing pages, and develop a more robust website that would be enjoyable to vacation goers to browse. I began by researching competitor vacation rental businesses in the Naples, Florida area to see what was considered the norm for websites like these and what was missing.

In my findings, I noticed almost none of RCP's direct competitors conveyed a personal feel. When viewing their websites, I felt I was seeing faceless businesses and couldn't find the names of employees that you may turn to for customer service. For my client, a personal feel was an important element to convey on her new website. She wanted the families renting to know her name and to feel comfortable reaching out if they had any questions during their stays.

My client is not only the property manager of these vacation rentals, but she also furnishes each one. In my preliminary research on design and layouts, I explored many websites of interior designers to see a variety of ways I could present interior spaces. After outlining and wire-framing the proposed pages for the site, I used Wix to construct a re-envisioned website with improved functionality and enhanced layout design. A unique feature of the new website is a section dedicated to my client's recommendations to local spots. She has a list of great restaurants nearby, where to go shopping, beautiful golf courses you can spend a day at, as well as beaches and other Florida activities. The RothCoast Properties website not only helps vacation goers find a place to stay, but it also caters to ensuring they have a wonderful time post-booking by providing amenities, great customer service, and access to Naples' best kept secrets.
